I was one of the 17% of layoffs today at Lyft. I learned a ton in my time there and will miss the people I worked with.
I know God’s gonna take care of my family and me (and I already have prospects lined up). Jesus always provides, even when it looks differently than I want.
Okay, I think it’s finally time for me to change my shell from bash (I know, I know I just haven’t had time to figure things out). The new macOS default is zsh, and I’ve also heard good things about fish. I’ve got several aliases and scripts in my bash profile. What should I do?
I’m excited to have tickets to upcoming remote conferences: App Builders and UIKonf. Both speaker lineups look amazing! It’s an early start for me in PDT land but I’m usually up early anyways because of my kids 😂
I’m really enjoying The Last Dance on ESPN about the 90’s Bulls. I’ve not cared about the NBA in a long time – since the Sonics left town. I’m getting super nostalgic for the NBA of my childhood.
Bring back the Sonics.
Welp, I should have said “attempting to cancel” our trip. Because I can’t even get through to the LegoLand bookers “due to unprecedented call volume”. Ugh.

I got my W2C today, folded in a nice standard envelope as I’d expect. I opened it up and took the paper out. The first line read: “Do not cut, fold, or staple this form” 🤦♂️🤣
Woke up with a 102 degree fever this morning, probably from the same sickness my boys had together last week. So today went about as well as you’d imagine. Hoping I feel better tomorrow!
