I had an animation issue in Arborist that I was fighting, and the new Broadcast library from @mergesort@macaw.social came to the rescue and I was able to fix it really quickly thanks to some well placed logging statements.

The response to my Arborist announcement has been fantastic! I’ve got a few more things to polish up before I release it. My hope is the 2nd or 3rd week of July to launch it. I’ll be sharing more about the process of building Arborist as I approach the finish line!
I’ve been working on a new Mac app the past couple of weeks which can supercharge developer workflows using git worktrees. If that sounds interesting, check it out at taphouse.io/arborist and sign up to be among the first to know when it’s released π
I love this Seahawks team so freaking much.
We had to say goodbye to our sweet kitty Molly today. She’d been with us 14 years (adopted on 1/1/2012). Before we had kids, before I found my career, before we bought our house.
Life without her is going to be less snuggly, and we will miss her deeply.
Apple finally got to reviewing Decoder (so a 2-day belated birthday present) and it got approved! I’m working on the blog post right now, but in the meantime go check it out if you have any need to scan a code on your Mac!
What I’d really like for my birthday is for my new Mac app to get through App Review (it’s been waiting since Tuesday).
This was a fun little project that came together really fast and has been waiting longer than it took to build π
I have a blog post brewing but want to share that my new app Baseplate is now available on the iOS, macOS, and visionOS App Store. It’s an app for managing your Lego brick collection and I hope you enjoy it!
My head is still spinning (in the best of ways) after a 2 day SwiftUI workshop from @chris@m.objc.io. I feel like I have a much better understanding of how the framework works!
Achievement unlocked: callout in the main section of iOS Dev Weekly!
Thanks @daveverwer!!!
You know what would be really cool? Being able to write unit tests for fastlane lanes.
Hopped on to iOS 17 now that beta 3 is out. I updated my MacBook to Sonoma with b2 and itβs been pretty great!

So good! Looking forward to the other two (and hoping for more)
My new post for the Runway blog is up! I talk about writing actions & plugins for fastlane. Hope you enjoy!
It’s our hackathon week at work and I get to play around with making Markdown highlighter using Neon. I’m super pumped to see how far I can get.
Want to read: The Midnight Kingdom by Jared Yates Sexton π
This just came out today and I’m excited to dig in to it on Audible.
This post from Daniel Kennett (@iKenndac) is such a terrific read and seeing his indie progression from “coder” to “business owner” is inspiring for me as someone who would love to live the indie lifestyle one day.
Disabled Twitter cross-posting from micro.blog since Twitter shut-off app access. No Tweetbot, no Twitter. Oh well. cβest la vie.
Such a fun Kraken game tonight. 7 game win streak and the last 6 on the road with tonight’s win coming against the best team in the league. I still don’t feel like I totally get hockey but I’m having fun learning!
After reading about the Channels app on Six Colors I’m very tempted to give it a go. Like Jason I also am a fuboTV user so I’m intrigued by it’s integration.
Finished reading: The Imperfect Disciple by Jared C. Wilson π
I started this a while ago and just got around to finishing it.

My new post on the Runway blog is up! Check it out if you’ve ever run in to Xcode project merge conflicts, needed flexibility from projects that you just didn’t have before, or just want to learn some more about Xcode projects and how to make them.
I caught up with the Point Free series on “Modern SwiftUI” over the past week. Lots of really great stuff in there.
I might be missing something though but navigating to views from views feels a lot like storyboard segues. I’d love to see how a coordinator-like thing could work.
The 2024 NHL Winter Classic is coming to T-Mobile Park at Seattle! I hope I can get tickets to go! π
