When I do release Scorebook 2.0 I’l be raising the price from $2.99 to $4.99, the first price increase in its history. If you want a free update to 2.0 get in on the low price now! taphouse.io/scorebook

I’ve been making really good progress on Scorebook 2.0, and the to-do list keeps shrinking (and growing a bit here and there). I’m hopeful I can have the new version shipped in a week or two. And then I can dig in to all the fun iOS 13 stuff!

I love being able to do work from my iPad. Had to restart my taphouse.io server to renew its SSL cert and I did it all from my iPad on the bus commute in to work.

Hello summer in Seattle!

In the wake of WWDC I was tempted to rewrite all of Scorebook using SwiftUI (I’m sure that sentiment isn’t isolated to me). But one of the ways I’m maturing is that I’m not going to do that since my users don’t care about SwiftUI. But they will care about things like Dark Mode.

Got home after a long weekend away with the family at Sun Lakes State Park and found that @manton put the @xcoders podcast as the leading topic of today’s Micro Monday email. I’m honored by that, and am excited about recordingthe next show with @liz!

I’ve been using privacy.com to make purchases using virtual credit/debit cards and it’s fantastic. I get to limit cards or turn them off entirely (and burner cards are great!). Plus I can get cashback on debit purrchases! You should check them out!

Ending the night having gotten my Mac mini set up to build Scorebook using my Fastlane script. I’m pretty happy at how this has turned out (and at how I can further automate things in the future).

Today’s the day I’m going to be a macOS thrill seeker…

…by upgrading my Mac mini from Sierra to Mojave 😂

I’m doing a lightning talk tomorrow on Xcode 11’s new SwiftPM integration (particularly as it pertains to apps). Got any burning questions you’d like to see answered?

I still need to do a bunch of testing and add a couple more screens, but I’ve got my Dynamic Type implementation in place for Scorebook 2.0. I want to get this out the door ASAP so that I can start in on the fun stuff for iOS 13 🙂.

Hello again Seattle!

Heading home after a really fun time in San Jose. I’ll write up some thoughts later, but I’m super glad I came down for WWDC (even without a ticket).

I can’t help but feel behind on learning the new things because I only now at the airport started to dive in to my first session.

Good times at the micro.blog meetup

Xcode is gaining Swift Package Manager support for apps. This is huge!

I really want to play around with SwiftUI in Scorebook. I’m hoping to learn how it will make my life easier in building my side projects.

Watching the WWDC keynote next to the big show, at AltConf. Super excited to see what Apple brings us today!

Landed in San Jose! It’s gonna be a super fun, packed week. I’m gonna miss my family like crazy through it all too.

I’m constantly amazed when I put something on the ceiling and it stays there. The first couple of days I have it in the back of my head that things will come crashing down. Thankfully they haven’t yet!

Did the podcast interview this afternoon, and I think it went well! The conversation seemed to go by quickly and it was a lot of fun. I hope this is the first of many future podcasts I’m able to do.
